(TPS), a wholly owned division of Nytef Group, is the exclusive manufacturer of ClearGuard^® Hurricane Panels, manufactured from the toughest transparent polymer resin currently available, polycarbonate. Solid internationally through a comprehensive network of authorized dealer/installers, ClearGuard panels are readily available in virtually all major coastal areas.

Polycarbonate is an impact resistant polymer resin originally developed for high performance, demanding applications such as bullet-resistant glazing, military aircraft canopies, power tool housings and even compact discs. Because of the extreme toughness of this material, TPS offers a full Ten-Year Warranty* against breakage on every panel sold.

ClearGuard Hurricane Panels are available as a "do it yourself" project for homeowners through home improvement retailers or on a completely installed basis through a national network of authorized dealer/installers. We are a proud International Hurricane Protection Association (IHPA) Member.

ClearGuard and ValueGuard^® Storm Protection Panels:

Through its Transparent Protection System Division, Nytef Group manufactures its proprietary ClearGuard and ValueGuard Storm Protection Panels. When installed over windows and openings, these transparent or translucent panels provide homeowners with protection from high winds and wind blown debris.

Transparent Protection Systems, West Palm Beach, FL (TPS) is located in a 50,000 sq. ft. facility that encompasses the manufacturing for ClearGuard Storm Protection Panels and Nytef Plastics' extruded Custom Profiles. TPS also has the capability to produce UNITAL Acetal and UNIPA Nylon extruded stock shapes to supplement the production capacity of Nytef's other extrusion facilities. This facility is totally self supporting with full CAD design capability and an in-house tool and die manufacturing shop.

Comco Fabrication Division:

Beginning in 1955, Comco was a pioneer in the fabrication of what were at the time, little known thermoplastics and thermosets such as acrylic, phenolics and nylon. Since then the plastics industry has grown tremendously and Comco has been there to participate in this growth with leading-edge materials and fabricated part application development.

Today, Comco Plastics operates a state of the art plastic fabrication facility in Woodhaven, NY (suburban NYC). The unique capability within the Nytef Group to manufacture both plastic stock shapes and complete the required fabrication operations to finished assembly gives us the ability to provide our customers with complete "Pellet to Part" traceability, from raw material to shipment of your finished part. No other manufacturer in North America can offer this level of production integration along with Comco's assurance of the highest levels of product quality.
